Our commitment
We want everyone to be able to play Call the Price, including people who use a keyboard, a screen reader, zoom or larger text.
Our target
Our target is WCAG 2.2 Level AA, the W3C's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines. We have not had an independent audit, so we don't claim full conformance yet.
What we do
- We test the game and these pages with axe, an automated accessibility checker, in the engines behind Chrome and Safari, at phone and desktop sizes.
- Each round can be played with a keyboard: move to a price with Tab (in Safari on a Mac, Option+Tab) and press Enter, or type a price.
- After you lock in a price, focus moves to the answer.
- Color is never the only cue. Each price tile has a shape and its price as text, and each round's score is shown as a number.
- Colors are chosen to stay distinct for people with color blindness, in light and dark mode.
- These information pages are tested at 320 pixels wide and with text at 200%.
Known limits
- We have not had an independent accessibility audit.
- We have not yet tested on phones with a screen reader.
